Tea Parties in the Area

There have been numerous Tea Parties in our local area. There was a Tea Party September 4th in Dandridge, and on Labor Day in Kingsport. Cecile Testerman, Lois Mayes, Lisa Manis, and her daughters sold their Tea Party buttons that were designed by Lisa. Dob and Joyce O'Brien, local member of the Hawkins County GOP will be traveling to Washington September 18th for the National Tea Party, and we will get a report at the GOP meeting September 24th at 6:00 PM

at Prices School. MArk your calendar and plan to attend. This will be a combined meet and greet for Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey. The local party has already hosted a similar meeting for Congressman Zach Wamp and Bill Gibbons, both who are candidates for governor.

Town Hall Meeting a Big Success

The first Town Hall Meeting in Hawkins County was a big success. Congressman Roe attended the first meeting at Cowboy Cafe on August 12th. A huge crowd was in attendance. There will be another one in September, and the date will be announced shortly. The next Hawkins County event will be a Meet & Greet for Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey who is a candidate for governor. This will be held at Prices School at 6:00 PM on August 24th.

Salute the Veterans at Church Hill Healthcare & Rehab
